review 1: That's how it ended?? Okay, it's a triology. I get that the mother's disappearance was a background story, but that didn't feel like a proper ending! At first I was somewhat irritated by the different directions it went in, but by the end of the story decided that it kept my interest quite well. I'd even read the second one, if I could find it from the library, but it's not carried! Teaches me to read a book without checking for the next book before I start ;)
review 2: I really liked Sarah and Simon together, and found their love story compelling, but where this book lost me were the myriad other stories and loose ends. I just could not finish this book. The story line had promise but I just could not get into it.

A decent read, but a fairly generic storyline in terms of the romance, very Cinderella like.
