review 1: This is definitely not a thriller. It is somewhat psychological, but the main characters are in the Psych dept. of a University, ... that was easy. The plot is contrived and manipulated. "C'mon man" seems to fit far too often. There are too many "that would not happen that way" scenes. The characters are not highly developed, and the heroine is not very likable. The surprise is, well, not very surprising. Someone else put that this is not a page-turner - I agree. review 2: I TRIED TO LIKE THIS BOOK, JUST COULD NOT.
