review 1: I really liked the story content of this book, but the typos, wrong word/phrase use, and general lack of editing was really frustrating. It pulled me out of the story and took away from my enjoyment quite a bit. I'm not talking nitpicky stuff like who vs whom, but major things like the complete wrong word ("was" where "had" should have been, "digress" instead of "regress,", etc.), several mid-sentence tense changes, and randomly adding or taking away the plural "s" at the end of a word. There were some sentences that simply didn't make sense no matter how many times I read them between the grammatical errors and awkward wording. I just don't understand why the first book lacked these issues, but this one has them. Is it just me? Was I just more enamored with the first and ... moremissed them, or does Jennifer have an editing friend who ditched her for this book? Anyway, if you're not the kind of person that bothers, this was a solid sequel. Those things just kill me.
review 2: This was a fast paced/can't put it down as the first. If anything the hate/love/hate is getting a bit head spinning. At first the ambivalence between Katy and Daemon was cute, like really drawn out foreplay. I hope in book three its not as head spinning, its quickly turning from entertaining to annoying. I still love the books! Just hope that they are a bit more consistent and acknowledge their feelings and quit fighting it. less
