review 1: I was pleasantly surprised with this book. I haven't really read any of Jenny valentine's books despite having met her, have her autograph and three of her books. They never seemed to make me want to read them however after reading the double life of cassiel roadnight, I can see that I misjudged. Valentine kept questions running through your head and theories wide open to be investigated so you just had to read more and keep turning the page and we only find out the truth at the end.
review 2: Another book I read for work, as it's aimed at 11-14 year olds it was a really easy read which is nice sometimes. I read this book in two days. The first day I didn't want to put it down, I totally wanted to know what would happen. The second half was disappointing in
... morea way because it wasn't as exciting as I expected, it was just a bit weird. The twist near the end was great as I really didn't expect it and the storyline itself was interesting (runaway is mistakenly indentified as another runaway who he looks exactly like and ends up going to live as Cassiel Roadnight with Cassiel's family, it was the reasons behind the running away that intrigued me initially), but I hate that it lost me halfway through when it should have been gripping me. less

This book is interesting, but it's a little bit too slow in the beginning.
