review 1: 4.5 stars. It's a novella but it's still about half the length of a full book and it's got all the bang of the series. I've been thinking that this is one of those series that gets better with each book and I would give this novella those same props. It fits right in not only in terms of storyline but also in terms of the character development and longer arcs, with a very interesting and action packed book arc. It also fits in terms of the gradual increase in quality in each installment. The more I know about this world the more I want to know and the more I enjoy the series.This is a good series. I'm going to jump right in to book 4, but it's with a bit of remorse because I know that book 4 is the last book in the series.
review 2: I hadn't intended to r... moreead this, not because of dislike for the series, it's quite the contrary I really like the series, but due to time constraints. To many books and not enough time. The thing is when I started reading Lust for Life they were talking about this happening and that happening and I go wait... hold the phone, who did what now. So I went back and read this and I'm so happy that I did. It's a great in between to keep the story rolling.Lots of interesting stuff going on, we see more of Ciara's "Traveller" family and learn there maybe more than meets the eye going on. Jim who was never really balance in my opinion goes off the deep end. True to form Ciara does her best to kill herself multiple time.Compared to the books this moves very fast and is full of seat clinging action. All the familiar characters are present with some new ones who I wouldn't mind seeing again. less
