review 1: I loved this new take on vampire novels. Nowadays it seems like there is nothing new in this genre anymore. The first is that the vamps don’t get sexier and more powerful as they age. Instead they seem to linger in the decade in which they are reborn. (Long Live Disco Fever). A secret government agency that use to hunt vampires now helps out the “lost” and watches over cults to make sure humans don’t get hurt. A radio station was started by ex-agency offices to help keep vamps in the here and now while also living in the past. The new marketing intern has a fabulous idea: tell the world you’re vampires. Smart idea but with consequences. This book was fun and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
review 2: What a great start to a series! Ciar
... morea (pronounced keer-ah) is an interesting heroine and we learn more about her past as the book progresses. And these aren't your usual vampires. Yes, they are "soul-shatteringly beautiful" but freaks stuck in the time in which they were made...oh, and they all have some manifestation of OCD whether it's putting things in alphabetical order or counting dropped items. All the characters were smart, funny and whether human or vampire - wonderfully flawed and interesting! I will be making every effort to get ahold of the rest of this series and I am putting this author on my "to-be-read" in the future list. less

Not a great read, Not a bad read. A little long and boring. Not sold on the vampire concept.

DNF at 50ish percent. Premise was ridiculous and plot was just kind of plodding along.
