review 1: I had been reading Paul's letters in the New Testament so this book club book intrigued me. It really has two stories going: one full of spy and detective work and one about the life story of Saul from the author's perspective. The modern day side kept me moving quickly to see how the story resolved. The Saul story was kind of a "what if" situation as he was winding down his last days in prison. It was thought-provoking and an enjoyable quick read.

What's even better is that my Bible study group is currently studying the book of Acts and have just gotten to Saul's conversion. What an example of God acting in my life to reinforce His love, mercy, and grace from multiple sources. less

The first 100 pages or so were pretty slow, but then it really got going.
