review 1: A cliff hanger of that magnitude was in poor taste. -_- really? I mean up to now I haven't seen any character growth (maybe not quiet human is not character growth). Max back in the pic and I honestly feel bad for Tiny and I think Shiarra needs to get that stick out of her but about her family and just move on she is a grown woman, no matter how many time someone gives her the justifications for when her dad disowned her, a chapter later she's ready to cry -_-. Stop behaving so spontaneous had it not for the belt for taking her so far and the help of the supporting characters I have a feeling she would be dead at book two.
review 2: I was very excited when this came out & couldn't wait to read it and it is a good addition to the H&W series but ... cliffhanger!!... more I hate the fact I now have to wait for ages to find out what happens to Shia.I sort of feel that because of the ending this is not really a standalone book, it left me feeling unsatisfied because nothing was completed. I will reread this series but will now wait until the next installment. less
