review 1: I love zombies stories and have enjoyed Jesse Petersen's other books, and this one was no different. It was a fun, fast read with a lot of short glimpses of people reacting to the zombie outbreak either at the moment of or some point after. It was really well done with the variation of the moments. I only had two complaints when I finished. 1. The book needed more editing since I found quite a few mistakes while reading. and 2. I wanted more. The stories were so short, and we don't get to see what happens to any of the characters really beyond that one segment. They were fun to read, and I know they were supposed to be that way, but I wanted more. Which, I suppose, is a good thing. I definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys a good zombie story.
review 2: I had
... more very low expectations, but was pleasantly surprised. I actually liked these short stories a lot, maybe even more than the actual novels. They don't have that sometimes too silly, too forced and over the top humour of the series. Sometimes with the books I feel that Petersen is trying too hard and failing at writing witty dialogue. Here we have just have straight forward story telling and it is very good! A nice addition to the books and worth the small fee I paid on Amazon. less
