review 1: Stupendo, stupendo, STUPENDO!Tutto: le ambientazioni, la scrittura, la storia, i personaggi!Cate e Finn sono fantastici: intelligenti, forti (anche se, come tutti, con le proprie debolezze), combattivi, rivoluzionari...Sicuramente, sin dal primo libro, sono entrati nel cuore di tutti i lettori!La scrittrice è una vera maga (anzi, strega!), perché riesce a evocare benissimo le ambientazioni del tempo, a tal punto da sembrare di essere davvero lì, nel New England, terra piena di pregiudizi e soprusi verso i più deboli, verso le donne e le streghe.Le ingiustizie commesse nel corso della storia mi hanno sempre colpito, io stesso ho davvero voluto che "il cambiamento" avvenisse per davvero.In definitiva, una trilogia veramente coi fiocchi!
review 2: I don't beli... moreeve saying that someone will die is a spoiler... I was reading the whole book knowing that Cate, Maura or Tess will die. 300+ pages, dreading the moment. And I wept. I've got to say, Spotswood writes amazingly. And i'm the oldest of three sisters, and relate 100% to Cate when she mentions keeping her sisters safe, or anger against Maura, or worry for Tess, or sadness that the girls aren't spending as much time with her...Update: OMG JESSICA SPOTSWOOD LIKED MY REVIEW I AM LIKE IN AWE!! I'M GOING TO CRY! less
