review 1: I liked the idea of this story and I thought it sounded funny and kinky. But in reality it was cute, but didn't really focus enough on the elf-factor to make a big difference. It was actually easy to forget while reading, that you were reading about Santa's elves. Jet usually does an almost unparalleled job of making me feel attached to characters in less than 100 pages. But I felt like I didn't really know Lon and Wod enough, and they didn't know each other enough in the time we were given. It felt rushed. I enjoyed them both. They were cute characters, but the 'L' word really didn't feel right at the end. I would have loved to have seen more focus on Wod, and the fact that he had had feelings for Lon for awhile, because Lon's feelings come on awfully ... morefast.
review 2: It killed me to rate this one so low. Jet is my all-time favorite author and everything else I've read by her has been an instant classic to me, but this one just didn't work for me. The premise was really great, but I just feel like she was trying to cram too much story into too little words. And I won't do any spoilers but there was also a really odd dildo appearance that was just kind of out of place to me. And wow that sentence looks odd...Anyway, the writing is as flawless as it always is and Jet continues to be a gift to the m/m community, but this just wasn't one of my faves. less
