review 1: Picked intrigued me from the beginning. I have always been drawn to Polygamy. It is just “not normal” for a man to have more than one wife. That is until Jettie Woodruff introduced us to Cassie, Becker and all three of his wives. She turned a taboo topic into a HOT must have read! Everything I thought about polygamy was thrown out the window. There were no long dresses, no braids and no forced marriages.Cassie is an inexperienced girl, who can’t say no to anyone. Especially her dad. Feeling the pressure, she goes to work for him as a private investigator. When a case file for Becker Cole, a self-made millionaire and polygamist, is brought to her attention she is intrigued. Little did she know she had already accidentally picked him, and he was about to pick her rig... moreht back.Cassie and Becker have a beautiful sexually charged love affair, and I loved every minute of it. Picked is a brilliantly written story about a woman falling in love for the first time, and ultimately discovering who she is.
review 2: I loved this book. It was light-hearted, funny and mysterious. Secrets surrounding Cass and whether Becker’s love for her was the exception or similar to that of his other three wives kept me entranced and glued to my Kindle. I really liked Cass and found her endearing. She was funny, flighty, bubbly, and genuine though she had issues for example her obsession with buying useless stuff on the home shopping network and was a total slob. Funny moments in the book really cheered me, for example, when Cass tried to brush off “Beer Guy” while navigating the online dating game. I would pick this book anytime. less
