review 1: I mean, the book was okay. I'm not downing it but I'm not saying it was the best book ever. Meg's been hurt a lot in her life. It starts off slow. But I like a character to have a strong voice even when her life is full of crap. I like Alix and Stephanie though, although some got on my nerves. I'm a sucker for Greek mythology and I really hoped that this would be a good book. All to say... it was a decent read when I was bored. Do I wish I had borrowed the book instead of buying it...yes. It's most likely I won't reread this book in a while. Maybe someday.
review 2: I loved this book. It's witty, captivating, inspiring, entertaining, ethically challenging, scary and really smart. The Furies as three teenaged outsiders are truly frightening as they g... moreain access to their power and abuse it, yet somehow remain sympathetic as three troubled girls with a lot of pain in their lives. Meg, our main character, especially. Raymond is a great character too--a brain with a sense of humor and a heart. Fantastic!! less
