Day by Day Armageddon
review 1: I really enjoyed the first two books in this zombie apocalypse series by J.L. Bourne. Both are told in the first person from the perspective of a former soldier as he survives the chaos. Very well-written and both books kept me turning the pages. The second book picks up right where the first one left off. I think the story lost a bit of steam when our protagonist and his group of survivors meet up with the military and get in contact with an aircraft carrier still functioning in the Gulf of Mexico as it seems they are too well-protected for much drama to ensue. But once he goes out on a mission for supplies that goes horribly wrong and finds himself alone hundreds of miles from the safety of their compound things really get interesting once again as he must figure out a w... moreay to get back across hundreds of miles of zombie apocalyptic wasteland. Definitely recommend for fans of zombie fiction.
review 2: Much like the first book in this series, I found Beyond Exile to be an enjoyable zombie read. This series does not revolutionize the zombie genre in any way but it keeps my attention with its fast paced style. The action and story overall is fun and the end I found to be an interesting change in storyline. It certainly will push me to read the third part of this series as soon as I can. Again this isn't anything special but if you are looking for a simple and enjoyable zombie book these are certainly for you. less

Good sequel to a nice zombie book. Engaging and not too over-the-top scary.

Not bad. Little bit hard to believe at times.
