Solomon's Oak
review 1: This is continuation of "Solomon's Oak" also by Jo-Ann Mapson. However, you could easily read this book without having read the first one. College student, Juniper Vigil, is home for Thanksgiving break. Her adopted father, Joseph Vigil, helped Juniper finish high school and get into college. She had been a trouble adolescent, but an intelligent one. "Home" is in Santa Fe. Joseph and Glory Vigil purchased an old house in Santa Fe. Jo-Ann Mapson writes in such a manner that if you have ever been in Santa Fe, you can just picture the setting of this story. Joseph and Glory are setting up their home when they discover that Glory is unexpectedly pregnant. The book is full of rich characters, mostly "family" members, and they have glitches in their relationships... more. Many of these characters are at the Vigil home for Thanksgiving. One of Juniper's big problems is that her biological sister was kidnapped 8 years ago. No body was ever found. Juniper always wishes she could find her sister and misses her deeply.
review 2: I'm turkish and of course there were paragraphs I don't understand even a sentence of it. However the plot is just amazing and during the parf of Juniper finds Casey I held my breath and couldn't stop reading. Though it was quite predictable that Laurel is going to turn out to be Casey. After that book I started to break up words and realised that words really do have connection with the small words in them. Finding Casey is my favourite english book ever! (Sorry for mistakes) less
