review 1: I received this book through Goodreads Giveaways, in exchange for an honest review. This is the first book I've read by Jo-Ann Mapson, but it won't be the last! From my understanding the characters are carried over from previous books, with new ones being introduced. Although I haven't read the other books in the series, I was able to pick this one up and thoroughly enjoy it without being lost. The characters were well developed and the story line stayed interesting throughout the whole book, although I wish the ending had been stretched out a tiny bit more. I'm interested in going back to read the other novels now since I enjoyed the writing style so much!
review 2: Owen Garrett (character from the Mapson book, "Blue Rodeo" published in 1995) has just been rel
... moreeased from prison. His daughter, Skye, is just being released from rehab. What an opening to a book. Owen picks up Skye (they both ride horses)and they ride off into the sunset....hardly. Just the beginning to many new adventures for a pair that haven't seen or heard from each other in 10 years. There are many rich, coloroful characters in this book. Some of them are also in Mapson's book, "Finding Casey." However, this book could be read on its own. The story is full of people who are dealing with big changes in their lives and relationships with others. less

If you like to read about horses you might like this book. I only finished it just to finish it.

My only complaint about this book is that it ended.
