review 1: So far, I have only read about a quarter of the short stories in this compilation but I wanted to get it off my "currently reading" list. I would say at this point I'm emphatically underwhelmed at the quality of the stories. Not Impressed would be an accurate assessment of my view on it but I will slowly pick away at it and hopefully find a couple of treasures buried in this steaming pile of s...no, that would be mean to say. If I ever do finish it, I will let you know if it's worth getting. So far, I'm feeling ripped off even though I think I only spent a dollar, but time is money right?
review 2: This book was an anthology of stories dealing with apocalyptic end times. It is the first of three books, with the next one dealing with the apocalypse, and the
... more last one dealing with after it happened. I found it to be a good read. Of course I did not like every story, but there are quite a few I did enjoy. Each chapter was by a different author and they all were stand alone. Some dealt with sickness, or the weather, or man made machines. There were some with outer space...even crazy aliens. A few of these stories will be continued throughout the next two books. It was easy to read a chapter at a time since the chapters did not support each other. I will be reading the next book when it comes out in September. less

Some great stories and some less so, none particularly bad though.
