review 1: Riley turned out to be a psychopath plotting to earn millions of dollars through someone elses dirty laundry but the protagonist applauded her for it. Basically no one had a problem with that in the end. What no one else seemed to mention and that is from the reviews I read is that she was okay with getting raped if it meant she and her friends could get revenge and cash from it.the protagonist, was in "awe" of her instead of being disgusted. Also I didnt like the way the entire book ended with being slapped withwhy and who was in on it in one paragraph and then abruptly ending it. And those gay scenes were unnecessaryThe story had so much potential. these 2 stars are for that "potential".
review 2: I don't even know how to begin with this book.I think the auth
... moreor of the book is either very creative, or very off. Then again, I've heard that sometimes, there's very little distinction between the two. Some of the characters he created and the dialogue and the situations he wrote about in this book are strange. Beyond strange. It had me going "Uh...what?" several times throughout the book.u I rated it two stars because half of the book is only dialogue. I get it, because the dialogue was the most important part of the story, but he needs to break it up a little more. It was very difficult to actually keep track of what was going on through the book. A lot of times, when a new chapter started, you couldn't even tell which witness or suspect the investigator was talking to now. Also, the chapter toward the end, where he broke to make the joke about "I'm just kidding, no one broke into my safe and stole the tape, I'm messing with you." I found it unnecessary and pretty childish. But I didn't rate it with one star because it kept me entertained and I finished the book just because the story itself was so fascinating and grabbed my attention. I had to know what happened. I almost gave it three stars because of that but I downgraded it because of the strange way the author writes. Sorry, I just couldn't get past it. It was a good book, but I don't think I'll be reading any more from this author anytime soon. less
