review 1: This was my second Jon Gordon book, so I knew what to expect. While his stories are easy to read (albeit a BIT corny), I think they're SO applicable. I'll often read books for work and I just swim in the what-ifs and the theories and have to really take some time to think of how it can apply to what I'm doing. With Jon Gordon's books, I immediately know how to apply at least a few things to my life. I can always use more positivity. So now I'm swimming in positivity and energy (from Energy Bus) and I'm excited to see where he'll take me next.
review 2: First... I got this because it was in the psychology area, not because I love dogs. Turned out, to my surprise, that this WAS about dogs. I love the meaning and purpose of this book, BUT... it's based on a Native
... more American proverb, and that wasn't even credited. Although a short read, it did have meaningful and poignant lessons, but it definitely wasn't a great read that I can rave about. Although it applies to anyone, the story felt like it should be aimed at elementary or middle school children. Would be a great lesson for them! less
