review 1: The horrid quality of the writing made me just not care. It was flat, I couldn't understand what the author was trying to say sometimes, and even though the perspective was third person limited, the author for some reason didn't know what Jael was thinking. The dialogue was irritating, tenses switched even in parts that didn't include flashbacks... Just... bad. ... mored out about her mother and slay the demons that want to destroy her for having the gall to exist. Skovron does a marvelous job with this book. Jael is a strong character and completely believable; the action is smooth and quick and it all adds up to a fast and delightful read......definitely one to grab! less
