review 1: I picked this, and the companion Happy Accessories book, up at the library, because I love color and happiness. Of the two, I preferred the Accessories book. They are very similar, even using many of the same photographs, which is not surprising as many of them are of Adler's own homes. Happy Colors presents palettes of color that Adler likes, which were, as promised, all bright and happy. I think it might be more useful to someone who has been hesitant about color, rather than someone like me who embraces it.
review 2: Like the size and pictures. Quite brief, kind of like interior design by Dick and Jane (see color, pretty color, see color in room). Worth glancing through which is mostly what I did. Good advice: if you are color shy pick one (say blue)
... moreand stick with it using different shades. More good advice: have fun while doing so. It's about making space to enjoy your life in, no high concentration rocket science necessary. less
