review 1: Miles writing style is so engaging that I did not want to complete the reading of this book. The three stories all dealing with waste, or not, are endearing re their characters as well as the style. Perhaps, the best writing is in a latter scene...SPOILER...when Alexis goes through the excruciating pain of labor. Love the Freeganism sections- and Dave was a riot as well, but it's the writing that drew me in again and again.

Sadly the plots' turns and twists are far too tidy to equal much of a simulacrum for the ways in which these characters would do, and undo themselves in the harsher bounds of "real" life. less
