5 Recommendations In: Thriller

Thriller is a genre that doesn’t get as much love as it should, so here’s five of my favorite thrillers that you might enjoy!

Y’all know Kelley Armstrong is my favorite author, and this book is insane! It follows a violent, school-shooting like attack in a retreat for mentally ill kids. Two kids, both suffering from awful mental illnesses, must rely on each other to make it out of the building alive. Trigger warning for: gun violence, various mental illnesses including those with hallucinations.

I put this in my 5 Recommendations In: Contemporary post, but it also falls under the thriller category. It follows four kids during the 54 minutes of a high school shooting. Trigger warning for: gun violence.

I HAD to include another Kelley Armstrong, sorry! This one follows two 18-year-olds as they search for their missing sibling and friend. You can find my review for this book here. Trigger warning for: gun violence, animal violence, child abuse, kidnapping.

This is a fairly well known one, but if you haven’t read it, you should! It’s a retelling of Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None, with teenagers trapped on a private island and one of them murdering the others one by one. Will anyone make it out alive? Trigger warning for violence and descriptions of dead bodies.

Two hacker geniuses, two reasons to be on the run. Noa and Peter are on the bad side of a huge corporation, and they have nowhere to turn but each other, even though they’ve never met. Trigger warnings for kidnapping.

Get ready for heart-pounding action! These books will make you laugh, cry and be afraid, all once. What are your favorite thriller books? Let me know! Covers are linked to Goodreads as always!

xoxo y’all,
Kerri
