review 1: This was a great monster story with well-drawn characters that leaped off the page. The romance is both sweet and spicy and contains what is possibly the hottest first kiss *ever*. And not just because there were explosions happening at the same time.The plot was well-constructed, and the setting was lush without being intrusive. The prose snapped, and even given its length, the pages seemed to fly by. I'm so glad it's a series. I can't wait to read the rest.
review 2: Amazing! I have recently started reading more mystery/ghost themes when it comes to m/m books. And this book is the pinnacle of my experience so far. I love The Lord of the Magpie series, but they are so short. This first book in the Griffin and Wyneborne series is the very thing I have been wai... moreting for. Too bad my imagination is so good that sleeping in the dark is a negative for about a month. But I have already downloaded the next. less
