review 1: I enjoyed the slant this book took. Slightly more 'Mulder and Scully' with the investigative slant of the plot. It was fun, fast paced and well written. The comedy moments kept the plot from becoming too dark, while the burgeoning love between Starkweather & Caleb/Gray is really coming into its own. The only thing that maybe let it down a little bit was the jarring dialogue between the protagonists during the intimate scenes. It never came off as being as hot as intended, I don't think, and could have been cut without any detriment to the story or the sex. This, though, is personal preference. A lot of the M/M writers seem to think that men have an overwhelming need to talk dirty/describe in detail what they're doing as they are doing it, so Ms. Hawk cannot have all of the... more blame laid at her feet for a genre-specific annoyance.
review 2: What an ending! I'm so glad I can move straight on to the next installment, rather than have to wait like a lot of people have had to do, I don't know what I would have done. The 40 day time period is nearly up and everyone is waiting to find out if Gray will take full possession of Caleb or not and if not, what is going to happen? Gray insists he doesn't know what all the fuss is about and is quite relaxed about the whole thing (apart from the fact that he will need to find a new host and this one won't be alive!). Can't wait to find out what will happen! less

Awesome as usual! But way too short! I'm going to have a hard time waiting for the next one!
