review 1: The 6th book in the series and the 2nd I've read. Received from the publisher via a goodreads giveaway, in return for a review.Tom, the spook's apprentice, has to go on a long adventure in order to defeat the Ordeen. There are lots of battles along the way, lots of different characters and emotional dilemmas.Well written and interesting. I'm actually really looking forward to reading this series from the beginning.
review 2: The book "The Last Apprentice Clash Of The Demons" by Joseph Delaney shows that sometimes sacrifice is necessary to change the present to make it a better place in the future. This can be shown when Tom's mom,Lamia sacrifice herself to destroy Ordeen an evil ancient goddess.For example,"Leave,Tom!Go while you can!I'll hold her here!"(pg.351... more). I can infer that if she did not do that the Ordeen would have killed billions of innocent humans. Therefore this shows sacrifice that was to the save the people and her precious son Tom. less
