review 1: Cosmo wants a car for his birthday. His boyfriend, Alasdair, decides to make it a quid pro quo situation: Cosmo can have a car if he quits smoking. Knowing it's not an easy feat, Alasdair brings Cosmo with him to the office and finds some creative ways to keep his mind off his cravings.I'm not sure if I'm missing something having not read the first book in this series (though I've seen many people say it doesn't tie too much into the previous installment, and as a short, I'm guessing it probably doesn't), but I really couldn't get into this too much. It's definitely well-written and the characters are dynamic and engaging, but the situations they're in and how the story plays out was a bit too outlandish for me, personally.
review 2: Jo Myles is such an eno... morermous pleasure to read!Not just that she writes an extremely realistic BDSM which has all the dots and crosses all the t's and is a hundred times more interesting and amusing than all that distorted and abused "fantasy-BDSM" you get to read from others, she also has an innate humour within her stories which has me go from a tender smile to open laughter and back, all the while enjoying her very erotic descriptions of male loving.This one was hilarious, warming like a good cup of cocoa and British in the best sense.Recommended for everyone! less
