review 1: Reasonable story but questionable premise. I like fantasy, but this stretched my real belief system with its premise. Also ridiculously weak era search done on weapons, including misspelling a major firearms manufacturers name, plus other things. Poor job by the editors on missing this too. While this will not bother most people and probably go unnoticed it detracted from the story for me. Good quick read and enjoyable. The moral or lesson of the book is solid and I would recommend reading it.
