review 1: Excellent! Loved this gritty tale about a man whose whole life seems to go wrong just to find the end of himself and the beginning of something so much greater. Yes there are supernatural things that happen. But if God is spirit and all-powerful, I would expect things along those lines. The story is gripping edge-of-your-seat drama that unfolds from bated breath to bated breath. I would definitely recommend this book.
review 2: I actually thought this was a John Grisham book the whole time I was reading it. The style was very similar to John Grisham. . . a thriller told with many short chapters which is told in points of view of multiple characters. The writing is quite well done. ... moreook in 3 days (which is really fast for me.) Towards the last half, the book takes a religious turn. I'm OK with that, being a religious person myself, but at some points it was a little much. I would still recommend it. It is nice to have a clean thriller where the romance doesn't turn into a lurid love scene. less
