review 1: The premise was so good. I was so excited to read this, but the execution and the characters failed me. The story fell flat. The story was there, but the way it unfolded just felt awkward and forced. The heroine, I could not see why Adam Kincaid, this young successful man wanted anything to do with her. I could not connect. Some of the discoveries were crazy and I felt just taken out of a hat like the situation with the Maggie and her boyfriend.Whatever angst there was it was quickly resolved.
review 2: It was a delituded (very) 50 Shades with less BSDM and more stuidity.I am giving it 3 stars because I actually finished it but in truth it should go with 2....I am feeling generous right now.The worst part was when the main character goes to see why her all
... morepowerful, very sexy, dark, moody, blah blah blah man is going to destroy the building where her mother (a bitch with capital letters) lives, all that happens during her visit there is pure bull shit....plain a simple.so....no, I am not getting the sequels because they aren't even a follow up but the new thingy many authors have going on which is to write perpetual spin offs to have us buying poorl written books. less
