review 1: This book sizzles! If you're looking for something sweet, this isn't it! Jenna has worked hard to overcome her "white trash" label while growing up. It didn't help her mother was a drunk and slept around. Now she's a teacher and in the running to head the new after-school program she created to help children with similar backgrounds as hers. She just has to keep her nose clean for a few more days until the school board votes. She didn't count on Colt, her best friend's brother coming back to town during that time. She had a crush on him when she was younger. Now, however, he was all man and gorgeous. Before long they are involved but she wants to keep their relationship a secret. Colt has demons of his own he's struggling with and he's not looking for anything permanent bu... moret with Jenna he finds himself thinking about more. I fell in love with these characters. They were flawed but so perfect for one another you couldn't help but root for them to succeed in their relationship. Their friends were a nice touch and of course Jenna had a rival who was vying for the school position who also had a thing for Colt. Very enjoyable read and like I said, it sizzles!
review 2: As always Joya far exceeds my expectations. I thought i had her figured out and placed in to a certain rom com category. Here she is stretching her back story from politics, shipping moguls, to rodeo romeos.Jenna Jayne Justice has fought her whole life against being labeled as trash. Colt is hiding from himself. It is nice to see a story where both characters have a flaw they need to work on without being weak or coming across meek. The sex was hot and steamy, just the way I like em. Their chemistry was engaging and kept me enthralled while I was supposed to be working.I genuinely look forward to the next installment. This is an awesome start to what will be a bewitching and alluring series.Can i have Bass and Penny next?5 starsDown and Dirty less
