review 1: I really love the first two books I read by Jude Morgan, An Accomplished Woman and Indiscretion. Love them. I have been so excited to read this book. It was very good and enjoyable, though I don't love it like I do the first two. I did not find the main couple as compelling and found it a tad more predictable than the others. I would still recommend it, though, if you love a sweet Jane Austen era romance.
review 2: The description and the other reviews say it all. This book is well-written and entertaining, if you like regency period stories ( and I do). I think while I am reading that the number of people who actually lived like this must have been very small. Then I think it such a pity that the lives of these women were so constrained. Then I wonder what t... morehe lives of their servants must have been like. But I still like the books. If you are keeping track, you will have noticed that the book I read before this one was quite serious and (gasp!) nonfiction. less
