review 1: I LOVE this book! There are so many projects my fingers are itching to start working on! My *only* complaint so far is the same complaint I have with all the One-Skein Wonders books: I think they stretch the idea of "one skein" a little far. Some of these skeins that are used are larger-than-normal skeins. I would suggest that anyone who is looking at making something from this line of books should looks closely at the yarn used and the yardage. Each project may be made using only one skein of the specific yarn that was used, but if you use a different yarn, it may require more than one skein. Yet another book that will become a favorite for myself and presents for female friends/family.
review 2: I'd definitely recommend this to moderately experienced knitters
... more, as the patterns it contains are beautiful. However, the "one skein" in the title is exceptionally misleading as many patterns call for well over 400 yards of lace or fingering weight yarn, easy double a standard skein amount. And the patterns that require 600 yards? Beautiful pieces with clean and clear instructions, but they have no place in a "one skein patterns" book. Will recommend, but only with caveats. less
