review 1: Sometimes the sequel to good book leaves the reader disappointed. Not so with Goodness Gracious Green, sequel to Gone to Green. I loved it and hope there's a third book in this series. Judy Christie writes such charming characters that I was drawn into their lives. I want to visit Green and meet the mayor and Lois's other friends. If you haven't read Gone to Green, grab a copy, and while you're at it, get Goodness Gracious Green. These are a perfect summer read. Novel Journey and I give it a high recommendation.
review 2: When I started this book it kept me reading. It was an easy read and I became interested in the characters. I liked the newspaper office setting perhaps because I work for a small town newspaper and the author describes the intricacies of smal... morel town newspaper life the way it sometimes is. Also I loved the small town feel of Green. I wanted to be there. This author captured a small town perfectly, the closeness and the caring for the people. Reluctance to change is also hard for small communities. The fact the author slipped in the problems with diversity and religion added flavor to the book.One of the problems I had with this book was that occasionally in a chapter the character skipped around from place to place and time to different time and it was hard to follow. I had to reread to figure out why and where the character was and how things had happened in this chapter. I will definitely read more of this authors books. less
