review 1: A great Texas Thriller! I listened to the audiobook and the reader was spot on with the myriad of characters this story had! Tommie, who has just lost her father, receives a letter which call her entire life into question! She doesn't know who to believe, but a man in prison tells her to "trust no one" and the rest of the novel shows us what whether she follows this advice or not. This is the author's debut and my son and I were riveted! I can't wait to read her next book, 'Lie Still.'
review 2: My mom got a signed copy from a librarian conference in Fort Worth. My name is Tommie also and I live in Texas. Initially, the main character annoyed me, especially when she said she weighed 107 pounds -- how vain. But by the end of the book, after she was beate
... moren physically and psychologically, she was much more humble and easier to like. There were some inaccuracies -- women don't ride bulls. But I loved the Texas background to everything. This would make a great movie. less

Disjointed narrative, uninspiring characters, and a plot that's way too far from plausible.
