Downton Abbey: The Complete Scripts
review 1: For anyone who loves Downton, this is a must-read. It is fascinating to read the script as it was before shooting and material deleted for the final TV version adds even more to the characters you already know. Julian Fellowes' running commentary through the script provides tons of historical information, behind the scenes information, inspiration for the series, and character analysis. He even defends Thomas... And he has a wonderful sense of humor. Really wonderful to read.
review 2: Includes cut scenes from the original scripts and notes from the writer. I think Fellowes' notes are the best part of the book, giving readers extra insight into motives, characters and history. There are a few notes in which the writer is clearly blaming someone in the produ
