review 1: First of all could the printing be any smaller? There are many facets to this plot. As I read the story of Wallingford and Abigail I felt like I was on a roller coaster. The beginning grabs your attention and looks very promising. Abigail is cheeky, fearless and stubborn. A real match for the stuffy Wallingford. Then it slows down and you ask yourself why are you reading this book? Then once again it pulls you in but nevertheless it leaves you disappeared. At times the characters are painted in such a way as to make you cringe in their dialogue. I gave it three stars but reluctantly.

In Abigail we have a joyous, optimistic, smart heroine who doesn't ... morehesitate to reach for what she wants for herself - much as she doesn't trust her heart. And in Arthur, Duke of Wallingford we have a crusty, self important hero who's struggling with his sense of self worth and trying to prove to himself that he is something more than just a title. Throw in engaging secondary characters also searching for their HEAs, a couple of spirits, some brilliant back and forth dialogue, and smoking hot chemistry and heigh ho, we have a pot boiler of a HR. less
