review 1: I believe this is the most disappointing of the series. Because the relationship/love between Roland and Lilibet had already been established prior to the book’s events, I wasn’t sold on them. I didn’t see how they fell in love originally, so I couldn’t quite understand the continued attraction in the book, seven years after the fact. I really do like second-chance-at-love stories, but only if the author can sell the second chance. Gray didn’t do that here. Moreover, the plot felt somewhat choppy, and I doubt certain parts would make sense to those who hadn’t read the A Lady Never Lies first.
review 2: Excellent! Roland's dialogue is hilarious and the book is worth reading for that alone. The story is lovely, and the ghosts don't impose themselves a
... mores much in this book as in the last one in the series. [The ghosts, particularly the female ghost, want to advance the love affairs in the castle so that the curse on them can be broken, but most of the time they just bungle things completely - the lovers end up together pretty much in spite of their meddling, not because of it.]There is something strange about the book's cover (the one with the woman in the red dress) - the woman has the weirdest clavicles I've ever seen! less

I likes the first one in the series a little better. Looking forward to the third.
