Books I Wish I Read in 2017

Hey guys! Here is the third post in my 2017 wrap up and I’ll be talking about books I wish I read in 2017! I know that it’s not the end of 2017 yet but there’s no way I’ll be reading these books by the end of next week. I’m currently reading some other books and I’ll be finishing them off hopefully! By the way, I was really tired when I was writing this and it was the fourth post I’d written, so if I start rambling I’m sorry! Hope you enjoy!

1) Shadowblack by Sebastian De Castell

I really loved Spellslinger and was so excited for this book. I was even more excited when I realised it was coming out in the same freaking year as Spellslinger! They weren’t making us wait a year for the sequel! But even though I bought it months ago, still haven’t read it yet. Sigh. I’ll hopefully pick it up in January because I really love Kellen and need to see what he’s up to in the second book! The first book was amazing, amazing, amazing. Such a jaw dropping plot twist and cliffhanger so I need to see Kellen again to find out whats happened!

2) Godsgrave by Jay Kristoff

I really wanted to read this book because Nevernight was such a killer book! It’s about freaking assassin’s and the last 100 pages or so was mind-blowing! Mia was flipping weaving and dodging in and out of shadows slaughtering people like there’s no tomorrow. She was badass and I just need to see her being badass again in the second book! Also, Mister Kindly!!!! Need him in my life again. I took it on holiday in September but ended up being too busy road-tripping to read it! Gutted! Soon, my precious!

3) Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

I’m such a bad reader. At the start of the year I did a 2017 goals post and I said I wanted to read the Throne of Glass series. Yup. All six books. I didn’t even read the first book! Why am I like this??? I’m just very intimidated by this series and I’m scared to start reading it. I heard so many great things about this series but recently that’s all started to change and all I hear are negative things. So now I’m like on the fence about it. I wish I did read it before I started hearing terrible things about it.

4) He Said/She Said by Erin Kelly

I was so excited when this book came out because it sounds amazing and the cover is so pretty! I’ve seen so many five star reviews for this book and just praise all around. I really want to read it but I just can’t find time to get to it and I hate myself for it! It seems like a book I would love and there is a quote from Ruth Ware on the front who I also love! This book is perfect and I need to read it! Hopefully early next year I can get to this!

5) Caraval by Stephanie Garber

I GOT THIS IN FEBRUARY AND I STILL HAVEN’T READ IT! I hate myself! Everyone was giving this five stars and saying how amazing it was. I was so excited to read it but I never did! Maybe I was worried about the hype surrounding it and thought I’d go into it with too high expectations? I always do this and it’s so annoying! Hopefully I can just sod it all and read this in 2018!

6) Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco

I was originally going to read this at Halloween because it’s about Jack the Ripper so it’s a perfect spooky read. But that didn’t happen, yay! I really want to read this because it sounds so good and I’ve been seeing it everywhere lately. I’m really intrigued by it because I find it so disgusting that someone would be in love with Jack the Ripper. It’s just so disgusting. Why would you be in love with someone like that? Crazy. I’m curious to see if it’s any good and how the author goes about writing it!

You would think that I’d make all these books my TBR for January and February. It would be the smart thing to do but I probably won’t do it because I am terrible at sticking to TBRs! I can’t be alone in this! I see people all the time straying from their TBRs! If you have any praise for these throw it at me because it might make me read them quicker! What books did you wish you read in 2017? Feel free to leave a comment below! I hope you enjoyed this post and thank you so much for reading!
