review 1: I really wasn't sure after the first part of this one if I was going to be able to finish. I am so glad I did!!! I loved just about everything about it. The H/h were so likeable that I cheered for them so hard. Freddie wa truly a joy to this story and I hope there is a book just for him somewhere down the line. I'm so glad that I am a part of this wonderful group called Goodreads because I have read so many books recommended from this website. I can't wait to read the rest of this series and glad I bought all of them!
review 2: I've read these books out of order, but so far this is my favorite (three read so far). The flow was much better, no jumping back and forth in time, which helped my enjoyment level. emilie is smart and sweet, Ashland scarred, noble, sacr... moreificing- I liked him a lot, he had a lot of integrity. The supporting characters were funny and interesting. I can't want to read Luisa's story- I despised the earl of somerton in penhallow's story, so I look forward to seeing if he can be redeemed! less
