review 1: I loved this book. Kept me up til 4 to finish it and I smiled a lot reading it. I saw it as a tribute to Sayers and Christie, although in tone the hero is more like Campion than anyone else. The language choices felt well-done, and the religious aspect was modestly present, more "seen" in how a person acted than in any overt language. I do love a book with banter. It's nowhere near the Golden Age writers themselves, but it's more entertaining than many books out there.

Sadly, not much in the way of depth or characterization. Fairly wooden.
