review 1: I loved this mystery with Ollie involved with Gav and trying to solve the mystery of who killed the chief of staff and one of the first lady's aides. Sargent the sensitivity director is involved with the investigation as is his nephew. We see a new side of Sargent by the end.And Ollie finally tells off the personal chef for the President's family. i love this author's White House mysteries and the Manor House mysteries--suspenseful.
review 2: I hadn’t intended to dive into the next book in this series quite so quickly, but I read the summary and could not wait to see Ollie work with her sort-of arch nemesis, Peter Everett Sargeant. Planning for a birthday party goes south when two bodies are discovered in the event venue’s kitchen. I really enjoyed the f... moreurther development of the characters, even Sargeant. The action and development of the mystery is nicely balanced by some forward progress in Ollie’s love life. Her disastrous first date was so awful I ended up reading the section to my husband who, with only basic knowledge of the series, was wincing at what a jerk her date was. Really fun and still loving this series! less
