A White House Chef Mystery
review 1: This was one of the many Julie Hyzy books I have read. I like this series with Ollie the White House Chef. This time she is trying to find proof that her father was a distinguished veteran and died with honor as he is buried in Arlington Cemetery. Ollie is in disguise to take Josh the president's son to a food fair and is getting closer to her Secree Service boyfriend in this book. Things take a dark twist in the book while Ollie looks into the Pluto company that her father worked for and was killed at. She meets many new characters that will help he find the proof that her father was not disgraced as her mother thinks may have happened. Very good mystery with many twists and turns.
review 2: This "White House Chef" mystery was quite different than the others
... more that I have read. In this one, Olivia gets involved in a mystery about her own family, more specially about her father who has been dead since she was a little girl. Enlisting the help of her Secret Service Boyfriend, Gavin, whe sets out to find the truth about why her father was murdered and why his military service record had so many inconsistencies in it. As usual, she gets involved up to her neck and manages to become involved in national security issues while she is at it. Even though this one does not predominately involve her job as White House Chef, I enjoyed reading it just as much as the ones where the mystery involves White House personnel. less

Not "deep" but a fun read; I find her books have a lot of heart.
