review 1: I love these characters and this was a fun addition to the series. It was short but very sweet. I love the passionate, loving, and godly characters. The only small negative would be that it seemed the transition from one love to another was very swift. I understood it - but I think it would have been even better if book had been lengthened to include more of the courtship and growth of their relationship. So - I just wanted more. :o)
review 2: A must-read for ANY time of yearAn absolute cannot-put-down, perfect-for-Christmas or any-time-of-year novel. Turn after twist, revaluation after shocking revelation, heart rending and heart-stirring, thought-provoking. Fascinating, discombobulating. One is always left wondering what will happen next (even if you have ... moreyour suspicions, which will often be wrong), how it will ever possibly turn out. You cheer characters on, shake your head in disgust at their actions, are shocked by what just happened, certain but uncertain as to how it will end, entranced. Curve ball after curve ball with absolutely excellent character development of starkly individual and unique characters. A story of affections, uncertainties, decisions, actions, revelations...I'm in love ;)This would make an awesome Christmas (or pre-Christmas, or birthday, or just-because...) gift for anyone. Not your typical Christmas novel. Decidedly different.This, for so many reasons is one of my favourite novels of all time (and I've read 'em all)!Thank you, Julie Lessman. You knocked this one out of the park, beyond any and all expectations. less
