review 1: First off, I want to say that I absolutely LOVED, LOVED, LOVED Against The Wall & Between The Sheets. I loved Shelly & Melly-Belly and wished I had girlfriends like them. And I loved, loved, loved Matt & Ty. :) I did not love Summer & Chase. Did not. It's for that reason I put off reading this book even though I've had it on my Kindle forever... I mean, how could I possibly read a book about Summer - the girl Shelly & Mel hate. (Mel's my favorite character so my loyalty is to her lol!) But anyway, just as Summer grew on Shelly & Mel, Summer very, very slowly grew on me too. It helped that super sexy Dean was in this book."Honey, you're sexier than any man ever should be and you're kinder than any man I've ever met. You have damn well earned the right to be confid... moreent."*fanning myself*Overall, a great read. Soooooo funny. So good. I absolutely adore this author's writing style and honesty. Gonna finish up this series and read Playing Chase and see if Julie Prestater really is God if she can change my feelings about Chase.
review 2: This one was disappointing because I really liked the first two. With the extra narration from Shelly and Melissa, I feel like I didn't really get to know Summer that well. Aside from Dean's secret involving Chase, Summer and Dean's relationship was TOO perfect. I lost track of how many times I heard about how perfect Dean was and how he loves to surprise her. Nothing really seems to happen except them going on different adventures together. I enjoyed reading Shelly and Melissa's stories but I didn't think the updates on their lives were necessary. Again, it was just recounting how perfect their lives are. I'm not normally a fan of angst, but I found myself wanting something bad to happen because everything was just going too well and I found myself getting bored. The other thing that bothered me was Chase. How is this guy getting his own book? He's a complete jerk and borderline abusive, mentally and physically. I just don't understand how I'm supposed to forget about all the horrible things he did and said in order to root for him to find true love. Seriously??? less
