review 1: My favorite of this series, by far. I love everything about it - the brat/daddy relationship but also the fact that Eli and Quinn's relationship is MORE than that, that there was a lot of development and the whole perfect subplot about pretending-to-be-boyfriends (sort of) for the second family stuff and Eli's rough past and the fact that the chemistry was hot and immediate but the relationship was a slow build ...Now that I've read 5 (.5) of this series, I can say it's clearly my favorite, with #3 and #5 being close seconds. Followed by #1 and with #5 being completely off the list!(VERY rough guess on when I read this book the first time!)
review 2: I was enjoying this couple and having fun with the story and loving it… then the last 5% happened. It left
... more me scratching my head and wondering where the other 20, 10, or hell 5 missing pages were. I’m sorry, you can’t just blow up a family and then go around the corner and end the book! WTF is that? I know the book is about the couple, but the family was a big part and I even checked the family isn’t in the next book so WTF.Perfect example of a 5 start book that now is 4 all due to the last 5% of the book… hell, less than 5% like the last 15 pages. less
