review 1: I was supposed to receive this book free because I won it in a first-reads giveaway after I read the first two, I never got my book. I don't know what happened but it never got here so I wasn't sure what else I was supposed to do. I borrowed my friends copy, the one who initially recommended the series to me. I really didn't like this series. I hate it about as much as I hate the Celestra series by Addison Moore. Actually I hate that series more because it just. wouldn't. stop. I hate leaving things unfinished. I hate it more than I hate this series and that is the only reason I kept reading.
review 2: I didnt enjoy this one quite as much as the last one. Nyx has a new Team, with some old and new faces, and a new job. This book really shows more of the Nyx that... more got that earned her reputation. It's also a lot more bleak than the earlier ones, and believe me, that really means something. The end seemed a little rushed, which is quite unlike Hurley in the last two books. However, it does leave me very interested to see where the series heads to next, as the scope of the series is changed. less
