review 1: This is another romance with religious background. It is a historical romance. The main character and her husband are forced to flee west due to circumstances beyond their control. They find their marriage shaken to the core as they encounter experiences that are outside their realm of knowledge and understanding. When the unthinkable happens....twice, the main character is forced to dig deep into her reserves and figure out exactly who she is and what she wants from life. It is a very nice read.
review 2: When two men from entirely different lives set out to follow the path God is calling them on, neither believes it will be easy. Though neither expects the outcome of their obedience, they both submit their lives to God's leading and their paths cross in ... morea way that they never imagined and certainly would have never hoped for.While the overall plot of this book was a touch predictable, the story was simply engrossing and even though I was able to predict the outcome, I never would have guessed the details. The characters were real and there weren't so many words that I had skim through it to find the important details as many fiction authors have been penning recently. Every word mattered and fit together perfectly to weave the story that unfolded through the pages. I enjoyed it thoroughly from beginning to end and can't wait to read the second book in the series. less
