review 1: The characters are good, the overall plot is ok, the world building is good, so what is my problem with finishing this series of books. When I get to the action part of the book, I just get lost. I am bored, cannot follow what is going on, just want to move on past the fight scenes, and end up skimming big parts of the book. This is not the way I want to read a book. I switched and read another book and did none of those things so it is just this series. I thought it was the paranormal genre and I was tired, but not the book I switched to was also a paranormal book. The difference was I did not get lost in the action scenes and did not skim big parts of the book. It is time to move to a different series.
review 2: Better than the first. By a mile. More
... morestory, less nonsense. However, the killer, in my opinion, obvious from the begging. Karen gives us too many clues that would have no other purpose, but to use it to identify who is the true killer. When Dorina goes "Oh, NO. IT'S YOU!". I wen't "NO SHIT!" Isn't it obvious! I mean come on do you need it spelled out. I'm not going to spoil it for those that did not read it yet. But, it takes maybe half way through the book to have a definite guilty party. less
