review 1: Fun little story. 0.5 of the Cassandra Palmer series. Gillian and her daughter are caught and imprisoned by the Silver Circle mages. Kit needs her for a mission for his Queen. But when he tries to take her with him, a battle start between the imprisoned druid witches and the mages guarding them. During the battle Gillian gains her Triskelion powers and uses them to win the battle. When it’s all over Kit tries to get her come with him, but she refuses and leaves with her daughter. Fave scenes: the chicken fight and the barrel race.
review 2: Karen Chance delivered an excellent, free short story for her series with Kit Marlowe and a witch back in the past. It's not as short as most shorts and is divided into chapters. I loved Sarah and all the char... moreacters. Kit was never that interesting to me but I don't think I read the books with him featured much so that could be why; he was very likeable here. The humor was present and action, while there, was not overwhelming like some of the novels. If you like Karen Chance's work you should love this short story. less
